National Junior Honor Society

Forrestdale National Junior Honor Society

The Purposes of NJHS as found in the National Constitution:

                                     1. To create enthusiasm for Scholarship

                           2. To stimulate a desire to render Servi

                           3. To promote Leadership

                                     4. To develop Character

                                      5. To encourage Citizenship

 

The teachers and administrators of the Forrestdale School National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) welcome you! In order to be considered for induction to the Forrestdale School NJHS, you must meet the following requirements:

  •  Maintained a 92% (89% in accelerated classes) in each subject in each marking period in the current school   year
  •  Be a current 6th or 7th grade student

In order to apply for membership to the Forrestdale School NJHS, you will need to follow the procedures for membership. Please see below:

  • Receive an Invitation to apply for NJHS membership
  • Complete NJHS Application Form     Students must use their google accounts to access all documents

A complete application must include:

  • Student and Parent/Guardian Signature on Commitment Form (submitted to the NJHS box in the Forrestdale main office)

  • Student Activity Information

  • Recommendation form from a community member (found on application)  (Please do not email to ask if recommendation letter has been received)

  • Essay: to be completed after school during an assigned scheduled session.  

  • Be sure to submit your application by the deadline given.  Students will not be considered for NJHS if applications are submitted late.

Please note: The Forrestdale National Junior Honor Society Faculty Council will review your application. Nominees will be informed of acceptance or regret by mail during the summer.
