Instrumental Music Instruction

The three concert bands (Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, & Advanced Band) utilize the following instruments: flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet/cornet, horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba, electric bass, and drums/percussion. Mr. Lebitsch also offers instruction on these instruments. Students who play guitar or piano are encouraged to audition for the Jazz Ensemble. 

Band Rehearsal Schedule

Any changes or updates to the rehearsal schedule will be sent out via email or the Remind app.

*In addition to the regular Tuesday jazz rehearsals, there will be additional after school rehearsals & sectionals scheduled throughout the year.

Google Classroom

Students are responsible for checking their Classroom pages regularly. Band members will join either the Beginning Band Classroom  (for grade 5 Beginning Band) or the Forrestdale Band Classroom (for Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, & Jazz Ensemble). I will post rehearsal schedules, lesson schedules, and other materials on the page throughout the year.

Band Music on SoundCloud

Band members are expected to listen to recordings of the music we are rehearsing in order to become more familiar with each piece. With  SoundCloud,  students can stream music from the site or download songs as mp3 files for offline listening.
